According to the 2018 NTSB Aviation Accident Statistics, there were about 231 fatal accidents involving aircrafts in general. While Part 121 Air Carriers accounted for 1 of these fatal accidents, Part 135 commuter and General Aviation accounted for a total of 7 and 224 accidents respectively ("Aviation Data & Stats", 2021).
